Objectives: 1. Students will be able to recognize the words of different items in Spanish.
&nbs p;     2. Students will be able to translate the story into Spanish or  English (depending on which version they have at
            &nbs p;          the time.
&nbs p;     3.  Studens will  have an idea of what the different words sound like thereby giving them an example on how they
            &nbs p;           should be pronounced.
Brief Description:  This story is about a little boy and his grandmother's trip to the beach.  It takes you from the front  door, to the bus ride and the time spent at the beach.  It gives specific events which occur on their outing and one  gets to see the great graphics.  At the end, one gets to see the two on their bus ride home.  This is a very cute story.  One which will keep the interest of most students, no matter what the age level.
Entry Capabilities Required:  1.  One must know how to read on a 2nd or 3rd grade reading level.
&nbs p;                           &n bsp;      2.  One must have a basic knowledge of the Spanish language.
&nbs p;                           &n bsp;      3.  One must have a computer with CD Rom capabilities with speakers.
Rating: (1-5) Strong Points:  Some strong points are that one can switch from Spanish to English anytime in the program.  The Play With Me part allows one to have the story read at your own pace, one where you turn the pages by clicking on the mouse.  The narrator reads at a very good pace.  The beginner can read along because the words are highlighted as they are read.  The story itself is very amusing and the sound effects enhance the graphics.
Weak Points:  I really didn't find any  weak points because this book wasn't designed for a Secondary Spanish class.  Maybe in the interactive portion of the program, there could be a part where on could click on anything in the picture and get an oral reaponse as to what it is, but like I stated earlier , this wasn't made for use in a Spanish class.
