computers follow the manual step by step.

researching a topic area. Very helpful with collecting information
or just enhancing knowledge of a topic. Has many different areas
to research and it goes in depth with each one.
The information is easly accessable. The games help reinforce the
information that is being learned. The pictures peak interest and
are easy to copy for projects and presentations. Some of the information
has pictures and sound that when combined provides a presentation which
is conducive to learning. The pull down menues make finding information
quick and easy. It is not hard to get lost using this software.

(1) The only practice of relevant skills is through the games. There is
no other interactions.

If the user is truley interested in learning about the topic, they will
be hooked on the information and pictures. If the user ins't really
interested this will make learning fun. The games will keep the user
intersested and learning at the same time.

Adults will have no problem comprehending the information, however, young
children might need assistance comprehending material or getting around
on the screen if they are not that good with computers.

do not have any directions. Children might need assistance in figuring
out how the games work. Adults probably will not have any problems
playing the games-they are somewhat self explanitory.

The games are reativly short. They are at most 20 minutes to complete
a couple rounds.
The information might be a little too advanced for young children (6th
grade or lower). Navigating the program might also be difficult with
out adult supervision and assistance.
