Course Syllabus
Credit: Three semester hours
Time: 12:30 - 3:45 Monday through Thursday
Week 1: July 23, 24, 25, 26;
Week 2: July 30, 31, August 1, 2;
Week 3: August 6, 7, 8
Location: Satterlee 300
Overview: This course provides students with an introduction to digitial video design and production techniques
Requirements:
Instructional Video Project - 50% of the overall Grade (DICT#3)
Variable Topic Project - 50% of the overall Grade
Attendance: Daily attendance is required of all students
Digital Storage: Each students is required to have a 512mb or larger pendrive (also called a ramdrive)

July 23 | Instroduction to Digital Video Editing: Quicktime & I-Movie. First Mini-Project (not graded). |
July 24 | Videographing & Storyboarding. Remainder of class time used for developing storyboards. |
July 25 | Storyboard of Instructional Video project due today. Storyboards approved during class. Use of remainder of class time for capturing video. (DICT#4) |
July 26 | Editing of projects. |

July 30 | Instructional Video Projects due today. DVD preparation and burning. |
July 31 | Storyboards of Variable Topic Video Project due today. Storyboards approved during class. |
August 1 | Class time used for capturing video. |
August 2 | Continued use of class time for capturing video. Begin Editing Project. |

August 7 | Editing of Project |
August 8 | Final Video Project and Report due. Burning DVDs. |
