Text Box: Professor Maria Hepel (Chemistry) presented two invited talks and three posters at the 34-th Northeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society (NERM) in Binghamton, NY on October 5-7, 2006.
Both her oral talks were presented on the Symposium on Nanotechnology and Nanostructured Materials. Her first talk described preparation, characterization, and molecular modeling of new electrocatalysts for methanol fuel cells. The second one was about atomic nanoswitches and metal nanobridges.  In her posters, she presented development of highly sensitive immunosensors for the determination of herbicides based on direct and competitive assay procedures.
